Ex-Juiz revela: Sentença de bilhões de dólares contra a Chevron é de autoria dos advogados dos demandantes do caso no Equador

Representantes dos demandantes prometeram US$ 500 mil ao juiz que presidia o julgamento em troca de decisão fraudulenta contra a Chevron, financiado esquema de escritor-fantasma

SAN RAMON, Califórnia, 28 de janeiro de 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Um ex-juiz equatoriano reconheceu seu envolvimento direto na orquestração de uma sentença fraudulenta contra a Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX) no julgamento ambiental contra a empresa em Lago Agrio, no Equador.

Em uma declaração juramentada (veja aqui) apresentada hoje no Tribunal Federal de Nova York, Alberto Guerra, que presidiu o caso quando foi este levado à corte pela primeira vez em 2003, revela que os advogados dos demandantes e um juiz subseqüente, Nicholas Zambrano, lhe pagaram milhares de dólares para que escrevesse de maneira ilegal, em segredo, as ordens judiciais emitidas por Zambrano e orientasse o caso em favor dos demandantes. Guerra, que não é mais juiz, atesta que os advogados dos demandantes foram autorizados a elaborar a sentença de 18 bilhões de dólares em causa própria depois que prometeram pagar um suborno de 500 mil dólares para Zambrano com os recursos provenientes da execução da sentença, e que Guerra, então, revisaria o rascunho feito pelos advogados dos demandantes para Zambrano antes que o juiz promulgasse a sentença como se fosse sua.

As I mentioned on part I of this article, if you made a good search, it should be easy for you to find your way around. There are thousands of accomodations to choose from at Barra da Lagoa Beach, located near the beach or the canal. What brought us to Banana Beach Hostel, besides its wonderful location already described before, is the atmosphere around it. I invite you to look to your left as soon as you reach the middle of the bridge when crossing to get to the hostel. From there you´ll see 2 beacons at the entrance of the canal, where small fisherman´s boats make their way in and out of the ocean. Nice view and great scenery. 

"Baja" da Lagoa Beach is an open beach with calm waters. This is because the stream of Canal da Baja brakes de waves, making them quieter and smoother.  Its waters are clean with low salinity - the mix of the ocean water and the Lagoons´s - and the sand is white and fine. Much more can be said about this beach. We´ll get back to it later. Go to part IV.

Na Praia da Barra da Lagoa (I), by Phydias Barbosa

Cristina Miranda and I arrived at the airport in Florianópolis on Thursday afternoon January 10th, 2013 and took a cab (R$60.00). After a 40 minute ride with very little traffic jam we got to the center of Praia da Barra da Lagoa. (The "baja" of the Conceição Lagoon Beach, if I can start knicknaming here). We had made reservations at The Banana Beach Hostel - http://banana-beach.com/ which is located in the fisherman´s village next to the #360  final bus station "ponto final do ônibus’). Check the website. I had stayed there in November ´12 and fell in love with the place. Just cross the blue bridge and Banana Beach is the first house you see right in front of you. Can´t miss it.

Chalé Café, by Daniel and Luis

This is the Chalé Café where we had great expressos, cappucinos and the brazilian style shake, where you can mix some season fruit with your favorite shake mix. We brought our own brand and asked Daniel to mix it which he did very nicely. From Argentina, Daniel and Luis are real pros. Service is a 10+. Try the cakes and "pasteles" they make. You´ll love them. Hum, very delicious. 

Praia da Barra da Lagoa is a great and beautiful place to enjoy with friends and family relatives. Here you´ll find a lot of options like diving, swimming, surfing, spectacular boat rides a a great night life for those who like nice pubs and dancing.
